NewsAMBITIOUS ROAD TRIP PREPS DEALERS FOR “MOST AMBITIOUS” KIA

April 16, 2014

When Kia’s much-anticipated new entry into the luxury automobile market, the K900, hits show room floors soon, Kia dealers and sales people will be ready, thanks to a coast-to-coast-to-coast road trip by Select 1 Group.

The 41-day Kia Training Tour saw three of S1G’s top specialty vehicle transport drivers bring the exciting new cars to hotel ball rooms in the West, New England, Middle Atlantic, Florida and Detroit. At each location, Kia’s top dealers and sales people learned the intricacies of a car that Motor Trend has dubbed “the most ambitious Kia ever”. Its sleek lines and luxurious interior features make the sister vehicle to Hyundai’s Equus a formidable contender in the under-$100,000 luxury car market. At an MSRP of just over $60,000 USD, dealers are excited about rolling out the K900 in their markets.

The K900 is receiving significant early press. Car And Driver called the 400-horsepower V-8—powered beauty “a muscular four-door stuffed with leather, wood and electronic amusements”. Those kinds of reviews have already created demand for the K900 nationwide, which is why Kia launched the Training Tour and chose S1G to transport the cars from California to New York to Florida and many points in between.

The Kia K900 Training Tour was possible because S1G committed three of its specialty car carrier units to the task. They were driven by veteran drivers Tom Fisher, John Seilhan and Craig Schneider. “The drivers were all very experienced and they did a flawless job of delivering the K900s everywhere Kia needed them to go,” said Pat Evo, S1G Group Vice President/General Manager.
