From wellness benefits to pay scale…flexibility to work/life balance, we focus on all of the challenges of the industry to ensure that we make choosing a career with Select 1 Transport the easiest decision any driver could ever make. Is Select 1 Transport the company you’ve been searching for? Let’s talk.
You need a valid US Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Additional qualifications will include passing a background check and drug test, obtaining a TWIC card, having 3+ years of OTR experience in car hauling or other high-value goods transport. A passport is preferred but not required.
We offer competitive base pay, revenue commissions, and performance-based bonuses. Details on the pay structure will be provided during the application process.
Home time depends on the route type. Drivers typically spend a few weeks on the road before returning home for a well-deserved break. While we strive to offer flexibility, please note that time off may not follow a regular or consistent schedule due to the nature of our operations.
Yes, we offer paid orientation and ongoing training programs to ensure you are well-prepared and confident on the road.
Safety is our top priority. We provide regular safety training, maintain our fleet to the highest standards, and use advanced technology to support safe driving practices.
The application process involves submitting an online application, participating in an interview, undergoing a background check and drug test, and completing an orientation session.
We have passenger policy that allows for certain conditions. It is important to keep in mind that all passengers must be able to legally access secured areas with the vehicle. These areas include but not limited to: ports, border crossings and customer facilities. For example, if your passenger is not authorized to enter a trade zone such as a port (e.g., lacks a TWIC card), arrangements must be made at your expense to offload the passenger at a secure location of your choosing before port entry. Additional details will be provided upon request or during the orientation.
Yes, all drivers at Select 1 Transport are required to wear a company logo shirt, paired with black, blue, or grey pants. We emphasize a professional and neat appearance, so clothing should be free of holes, tears or metal embellishments that may scratch a vehicle. Additionally, our drivers are expected to maintain proper grooming standards to ensure a positive and professional interaction with our customers. Drivers receive an annual uniform allowance.
Our routes span across 49 states and Canada, covering coast-to-coast runs. This diverse network provides a mix of regional and national routes.
We provide comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision), disability and life insurance, retirement plans with company match, paid time off, and more.
Our fleet includes the latest model trucks equipped with advanced safety features and comfortable cabins to ensure a smooth ride.
Our drivers receive exceptional support from our dedicated dispatch team, access to 24/7 roadside assistance, and a strong network of team members.
Yes, we have an employee referral program where you can earn bonuses for recommending qualified drivers who join our team.
We have a pet policy that allows for certain conditions. Pets must be approved by the company and have current vaccination records. Additional information will be provided upon request.
At Select 1 Transport, we prioritize our drivers’ comfort and well-being during downtime. Base pay will compensate for all working hours, including non-driving and rest and recovery periods.
In the event of vehicle damage, drivers are responsible for documenting the incident thoroughly. This includes taking clear photos of the damage, noting the time and location, and providing a detailed written account of how the damage occurred. Drivers must report the incident immediately to their Dispatcher and to the Claims Manager.
Our orientation process is designed to ensure you feel prepared, confident, and excited to join our team. During orientation, you will receive comprehensive training on our company policies, safety protocols, and the tools you’ll need to succeed on the road. You will also meet key team members who will support you throughout your journey with us. Our goal is to provide you with all the information and resources you need to start your career at Select 1 Transport on the right foot.
